Why "The Pedaling Prince?" Well, the name originated with an article for The Atlantic Pedaler (a defunct online cycling magazine). They profiled me as "Commuter of the Month" for March/April 2006, calling me "The Pedaling Prince of Sydney." Shortly thereafter, Rides Captain Jaques Coté of Velo Cape Breton started calling me that. The name stuck. :)

Cossit House: Tied Up in Red Tape
Note to Facebook users reading my blog in Notes:
This is video post; to watch, click here.
I regret that the episode I had planned for today on Cossit House, the oldest standing house in Sydney, cannot be aired because Cossit House is under the authority of The Old Sydney Society which has strict rules regarding production of video and film on their property; they have asked it not be aired until it goes through "proper channels."
Now they may decide to let me air it once I go through their formal procedures; I'll keep you posted as anything develops on that front. As for this week, unfortunately I was not told about this until the last moment, I was unable to complete an alternate episode in time for this week.
So, for lack of any alternative I aired some of it but without audio and with titles superimposed explaining what happened. So, if you'd like to know more about what happened, please watch this week's episode.
If you'd like to encourage The Old Sydney Society to air my Cossit House segment, here's how you can reach them:

I will be sending a letter to the Old Sydney Society encouraging them to allow this video be aired on your blog. As a Cossitt (The second T was added sometime after my ancestors migrated into the USA), I am extremely interested in hearing the sound track along with the video. I am not familiar with Canadian law but from what it seems to me, this blog is a personal blog and the video should be considered as being for personal use.
